CHEK – Corrective Holistic Exercise Kinesiology
The CHEK approach to training and fitness is a cutting edge system of exercise assessment, prescription and performance.
CHEK originates from California when Paul Chek founded the chek institute to teach and grow his methodologies used for over 20 years to train elite athletes and solve challenging cases.
CHEK is unlike any previous exercise format. The process begins with thorough initial evaluation that includes written questionnaires and a complete assessment of posture, biomechanics and energetic function.
CHEK clients experience the following results: pain reduction, increased function, increased understanding of the body, better sleep, postural awareness as well as: a reduction of lower back and neck pain, improvement of degenerative conditions, knee pain and other chronic conditions.
The ‘H’ in CHEK stands for holistic. CHEK Practitioners view the body as a system of systems functioning in unison with each other. CHEK seeks to identify and correct a problem from a number of different angles at once. For example, correcting muscle imbalances can involve factors such as stretching, hydration, changing food habits, understanding the role of rest, relaxation and energy building exercises.
